How did you guys meet?
We met in a studio in Brooklyn, Fast Lane.

How old is everyone in the band? *this is just pure curiosity on my part*
Average age: 25.

Has there been any line up change in the past five years?
Yes, keyboard player and bass player.

Does technology play a big role in your music writing?
Technology is the primary factor involved in our writing. It is our biggest influence.

Which came first - the chicken or the egg?
the earth

You say you've opened for some big names such as Marilyn Manson and Fear Factory...did your management get that gig for you or did MM and FF approach you?
Nobody ever approaches us, our booking agent got us the shows.

How is the east coast industrial scene treating you guys?
There is no industrial scene in the east coast. The record companies have successfully killed off 90% of it. The only wayto survive in the industrial scene is to persevere and say screw the record companies.

Do you see the glass as half empty, or half full?
Clear.

Is Europe or America a better place to play a gig?
Both have equally strong and weak points.

You guys have a broad range of musical influences, what were you brought up on as children?
Some common threads are Depeche Mode, Skinny Puppy, Led Zeppelin, Ministry ...

If you were stuck in a forest with a bear standing up, staring at you, what would you do?
What would you do?

What is the worst show that you guys ever played? In contrast - what was the best show you ever played?
Far too many worse shows to put on this piece of paper ... it's a tie for about 30 shows. The best show is always our last show.

Where do you see Uranium 235 in 5 years?
Still broke, still making records, still revolting against the record companies ...

When was Cultural Minority released? Was the huge open arms response what you expected with this album?
I do appreciate the thought of an open arms felt record, I felt as though our record took a little bit of beating into people's brains before it was accepted into the musical community. I do hope that people have grown to accept what we are about and will meet us with a positive feeling.

Lets do some word associations!
Black - uh huh
John Denver - hmmmmmm...
Penis - I have one
Cigar - smells bad
Presidential Election - blank
Industrial - who?
God - wish we had one
Pat Robertson - the little funny guy
Mullet - is it larger than a breadbox?

What do you think about the progression of Industrial Music on the scene today? U235 is a fairly new band, but lists alot of old school industrial acts as influences, so I am curious to know how you feel about the so called 'new school industrial' music.
Well, about 3 years ago, I would've called industrial music metal with samples but now I don't think it exists as an art form much anymore. I think our record companies have eliminated 90% of the industrial bands into obscurity, and the few that do remain hopefully will break through and keep it alive.

How did the name Uranium 235 come to be?
Reading War and Peace in the Nuclear Age had a big part in it.

Is there a US tour in the works?
Our current plans are to finish the second record, play locally, and possibly sometime in February we will be playing throughout the United States.

What is your fave porn called?
The internet.

Any last words for Denver?
Hello Cleveland
