Oct 14, 2009 I can't tell you how wonderful this is. It's nice to see Xander being the leader, and taking it seriously while still being himself.

Wow. Very 'The Last Summer' meets 'Red Dawn.' Loved it. Hated it, too, for the perfectly balanced angst and joy. Last year when I read it I just couldn't review, but I just had to track it down and try again. Bravo!

This is excellent. Read again recently and my sister has read it four/five times. First class.

Jan 11, 2005 Fabulous. Great setting, story, happy ending. Thanks for sharing. As a post apocalyptic christmas story - it delivers on a bunch of levels, from great Anya dialogue, to the steril reality of life without Jello pudding, to a joyful reunion.

Sep 17, 2004 I liked it very much; glad that Willow and Giles survived.
I would think it would be possible to find a natural tobacco substitute, if not actual tobacco? Just a thought.

Oh, this was lovely; sharp and sad, but still hopeful. I like Xander's quiet strength in this. Nicely done.

Dec 29, 2003 *cries a little bit* I was fully expecting a big, sad ending... which would have been good, but not as good as the ending you wrote!

Dec 28, 2003 Well, that was flipping great! Not what I was expecting at all. If I see S/X I automatically insert the e, but this story kept me gripped from beginning to end. No mean feat I can assure you, as I rarely read onscreen. I'm def printing that out for my sisters to read. Dxxoo

Dec 25, 2003 This was incredible. You beautifully and clearly brought the same characters - through grown and hardened - and yet put them in a world startlingly different. It felt medieval and dangerous and believable. And I had tears at the end. So very well-done.

Dec 24, 2003 | Wow. Amazing. Well-realized AU story in which much is revealed with a few words. Most impressive.
