Jun 5, 2008 I'm so sad that this story has never been finished. This series is my VERY FAVORITE fan fiction of all time. In a perfect world, this would be completed!

Sep 9, 2006 You are hands down the best character writer that I have even come across. This story and the two prequels were so amazing that I just have to have more. I really do hope that you're still updating this story, as the last chapter left off with many loose ends! Please continue, for I and other reviewers would love to know the outcome of this magnificent piece!

Jun 2, 2005 Wow, this story and its two prequals are terrific. I like the way you work in the little details of what happened on the show with the plot that you are building. I wish that you had been writing the show instead of some of the peo-le who actually wrote it. The Wesley/Fred thing was too squicky for me, but everything else is right on greatness. Can't wait to see what you put together for us next. Thanks for making Kennedy a sneaking possible bad guy. I hate her. Hope Buffy finds out about Angel's choice regarding the Mohra exposure. Heh.

Re Chapter 9--all action, all the time, with continual developments and continual conflict. Lawson, without a center, betraying everyone in sight, serially; Connor with his skewed perceptions, assumptions and priorities--the quintessential adolescent; largely clueless Riley Finn and eternally clueless Harmony with her Buffy's-fixated-on-destroying-MEEE fixation. And up the middle of it, Spike plows on doggedly, leaving inventive disaster (and annoyed do-gooding) in his wake. And loathesome Angel/Angelus, of course, contemplating vicious harm to everyone to aggrandize his own ego.
Love this story. Love it, love it, love it! How ever shall I wait until there's more?

Sep 3, 2004 I'm so thrilled you wrote another chapter. I'd become worried that you'd been abducted by aliens. Please, please, please keep writing your Buffyverse novels! Now that the shows are gone, I live for your work! I'll wash your car, clean your house, whatever it takes to keep you writing!

Still going strong with this, and Spike is still a delight. Not that Buffy, Riley, Tara, Willow, Sam et al. are not also wonderful, but, well, *Spike.* Persevere! Persevere!

Sep 2, 2004 I'm having a wonderful time with this story. Intelligent, articulate, savy, succint metaphors--I love the way you take no aspect of storytelling for granted. Just a suberb example of fanfic moving into literature.

May 4, 2004 You have Angelus down - he's so cruel and malicious and violently gleeful. Your Cordelia is also well written. Her righteous indignation at finding herself on the floor with a paper clip stuck to her cheek - hilariously Cordelia! Spike and Buffy, as usual, are wonderful in your hands. The plot gets thicker and thicker and I love each new chapter.

May 3, 2004 You are still by far the best writer of fanfiction I have ever run across. In fact, you're a much better writer than any of the authors of the published tie-in books. I only wish you wrote faster! The wait between chapters nearly kills me.

Apr 26, 2004 I have been an avid fan of yours for quite awhile now..... reading your stories is like eating fine food... I savor them.....
I love your work, and wish your Muse was a little more forthcoming since I could read a chapter of yours a day... easily.... This story is going places I never expected... and love. And now....
*SOB* ... poor Wes......
Would make a very interesting vampire though.... if that is where you are going....

Mar 12, 2004 I have totally figured it out now! some 3 years ago, Joss Whedon was caught up in this network move of his show and while he wasn´t looking his whole plot outline for season six and seven got thoroughly barbed. Because he is a man he decided to sulk instead of admitting to be wrooooong and he went ahead with his stuff anyway. Stupid man. He should have thrown it all away and given the job to you. You are simply that good! I live in the Cummingsverse as of now. Thank you!

Feb 6, 2004 (Chapter 5 ) Simply a fantastic chapter . Your insights into Angelus savouring the idea of real freedom , real power , are perfect . The love scene in the bathroom was extremely hot , but not gratuitous : you picture what they are ,not only reckless fighters , but also fierce , passionate , possessive lovers . We see them compatible mates , powerful allies , and wild lovers : I would say you write Spike/Buffy like a queen.
And your beautiful writing takes my breath away.

Jan 13, 2004 This is wonderful. Angelus is back. Riley and the Initiative have an agenda. TheWC and Kennedy have an agenda. Somebody we don't even know yet, has an agenda. There are so many people after their own interests, I can't wait for them all to run into each other.
I can see the Willow-Tara-Kennedy thing brewing and I like it! Faith MIA!! The unspoken communication between Buffy and Spike...
I'm just lovin' all of it.

Aha! Angelus in the mix. I certainly didn't anticipate this development. You write excellent Angelus, considering that he's a character I don't believe you've dealt with before. You certainly have Angelus the brutal; shall we have a chance to see Angelus the (deadly) artist?

Dec 2, 2003 This story is such a joy on so many levels. The action's smashing and inventive, the humor's abundant, and the Spuffy's a delight. Blow me down, the poor kids actually seem happy and well adjusted. You know, for them.
