May 2, 2012 Lovely little story: both hot and sweet. Love the exploration of the grey areas, and so surprised how you so elegantly and eloquently said all you said with such an economy of words! Apparently brevity IS the soul (or chip) of wit!

Jun 1, 2003 I know i read this a while ago and then recently rediscovered this story on this site and decided for another go.
And happily, i was reminded of how much i enjoyed it. The way you created the dynamic between Spike and Buffy, the discussiong of souls and redemption in this incredibly gray area, carefully not making the soul a simple bandaid. I loved the parallel you created between siring and souling. That was a lovely touch. And this line resonated with me even the first time i read it:
"It's not wrong, Buffy. It's just you and me. Not doing any harm to anyone."
Wonderfully and simply said:)

May 31, 2003 A lovely bit of morally ambiguous Spuffy :) I adore it when a writer can come up with some plausible no-soul-needed redemption. I enjoyed very much!
